Jason Galvin - 7th Dan

In 1983 at age 13, Jason began training with Grandmaster Ki.C. Yoon at Grandmaster Ki's first Canadian studio located on 17th Avenue in Calgary.

Jason tested for his first black belt when he was 18, then moved to

Vancouver Island in 1991 to pursue his goal of becoming a professional diver.

Jason passes the lessons he learned from Grandmaster Ki onto his own children, and to all his students, helping them achieve their goals and potential through martial arts training.

For the next 25 years Jason worked as an offshore saturation diver, living and working in Asia, the Middle East and the North Sea.  Between over-seas trips, he continued his martial arts progression with Grandmaster Ki to earn his 7th Dan Black Belt.

“Hapkido training has come in useful over the years as a way of staying focused and fit not only for the demands of offshore diving, but as a means of maintaining balance in a modern life.”

“Martial arts is not only for fitness and self defence, it is training for life.”
